WGIR morning show gets a revamp with new host Jack Heath

Granite Staters are hearing a familiar voice across the airwaves of WGIR-AM and 96.7 ‘The Wave’ FM during their morning commute as veteran media personality Jack Heath takes the helm of a revamped morning show. Heath, a former WMUR News Director and longtime radio host, brings a deep knowledge of New Hampshire politics and culture.

“‘New Hampshire Today’ focuses on real New Hampshire issues.” says Heath, “From New Hampshire politics and news-makers to special daily segments ranging from health to business to the New Hampshire State Police on Thursday’s live taking listener calls, we are offering listeners a full dose of daily New Hampshire talk and news.”

Heath started “New Hampshire Today” on WTPL-FM, growing the program from one to three hours before accepting an offer from Clear Channel to move to his new home at WGIR and 96.7.

Another familiar voice listeners can hear on “New Hampshire Today” is NH Journal’s own Amelia Chasse, who joins Heath on Friday mornings at 6:40 to discuss the week’s New Hampshire and national political news. The show also has custom segments with the NH Union Leader and an expanded relationship with WMUR-TV.

First-in-the-Nation political junkies can get their pre-2016 fix, as Heath interviews national newsmakers and buzzed-about presidential candidates like Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.

“New Hampshire Today” with Jack Heath is broadcast on WGIR-AM 610 in Manchester and 96.7 ‘The Wave’ FM in the Seacoast on weekday mornings from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. and can also be heard online at wgiram.com. Show sponsors include the State of New Hampshire, Elliot Hospital, AutoFair, Centrix Bank, Southern New Hampshire University, T-Bone’s and Cactus Jack’s Restaurants, and Bill Trombly Plumbing & Heating.
