Top Dem: We will ‘hang’ Republicans

Amidst a national dialogue about softening political rhetoric, members of an Obama-affiliated organization are threatening to hang Granite State Republicans in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, according to a news story in the Citizen of Laconia.

“They’re going to hang themselves,” said Belknap Democratic Chair Ed Allard of Republicans. “And we’re going to help them.”

Allard’s threat came during a meeting of despondent Democrats in Belknap County on Thursday evening. The meeting was hosted by President Obama’s Organizing for America.

Allard’s remarks come at a time when some in the national Democratic Party have attempted to blame conservative rhetoric for the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Gifford in Tuscon, Az. earlier this month.

After the tragedy in Tuscon, President Obama himself urged Americans to “pause for a moment, and to make sure that we are talking to each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”

But you have to understand that violent rhetoric used by the Left doesn’t cause violence. Guys like Bill Ayers, a leftist terrorist and buddy of Obama, didn’t mean it when they advocated a violent overthrow of the US government, and called for random killings of Americans. Morons like this Ed Allard, who has his panties all in a twist, can use whatever words they want, no matter how violent, because in the end it’s all for the children. However, when Sarah Palin says that Obamacare has “death panels”, that is a code word for lunatics in Tucson to open fire.
See how easy that is to understand?

    • FAB

Ayers didn’t just advocate, he tried to actually do it.

      • marineone

Dont forget what Ayers actually told the FBI informant. Something about “needing to killo 25-30 million” in order for the “revolution” to succeed. Frankly, like Soros I dont understand why a scum like Ayers is even allowed to do what he does.

    • Craigcharger

Sounds like the democrats are ready to bring back the KKK or bring them out of the woodwork.

      • Vicher4

what do you mean bring back the KKK, theKKK never left the dem party, it is still alive and well.

  • George

In Dems minds, civility means Republicans just shut up!

  • Regrehan

I’m no fan of this fellow Allard, but I’m a bit disturbed by the article’s title: “We will ‘hang’ Republicans.” That’s a modification of the actual quote which (if I read the referenced article correctly) was: “They’re going to hang themselves … And we’re going to help them.” To put it bluntly, it looks like the difference between a murder and an assisted suicide … the former being what the article’s title ascribes (in a rhetorical sense) to Allard, the latter being (again, in a rhetorical sense) what he actually said.
I’m also getting a bit tired of this ongoing blacklisting of long-used idioms. To say that someone is “going to hang himself” is not to wish death on that person. I have always understood it to mean “he will be the cause of his own failure” … and nothing more. Am I wrong about that?

    • Mr. Kruger

yes, you are wrong about that

    • McGehee

Did you miss the “…and we will help them” part? That’s not exactly well-wishing.

      • Regrehan

Again, I’m no fan of Mr. Allard … nor of most politicians of any sort. (And I am NOT a Democrat.) I agree that his use of “and we will help them” was a bad idea. If he was going to say, “Republicans are going to hang themselves” he should have left it at that, or followed up with something like “And we’re going to let them.”

Nevertheless, I think that any reasonable person would understand (again, if the quotes from the original article are correct) that Mr. Allard was saying that he thinks (or hopes or wishes) that the Republicans are on the road to failure, and he and his fellows are going to make sure that road is just as smooth and straight as can be. But the principle agent of the Republicans’ downfall will the be the Republicans themselves. (Is he right? Wrong? Do I agree? It doesn’t matter … that’s not the point.)

My complaint against this ongoing political-correctness-like assault on common idioms and images remains. And I don’t care which political party or ideological class or whoever started it … it needs to stop. The phrase “give Bob enough rope and he’ll hang himself” doesn’t mean the person who said it entertains violent thoughts against Bob. It doesn’t even mean that the person who said it is going to assist in injuring Bob in any way — nor suggesting that anyone else assist in injuring Bob. It means that Bob is the sort of person such that if he’s given the freedom to do what he’s currently doing, Bob will be the cause of Bob’s destruction (or failure or whatever).

Man, it’s a good thing that Mr. Allard’s opening phrase didn’t use the idiom “Republicans are going to shoot themselves in the foot (or their collective feet, or however you’d say it)” or the headline would have read: “Top Dem: We will ‘shoot’ Republicans.”

        • j rich

The point is that if a conservative had said that thelibs would make a Sharpton moment out of it and you know it. You need not be defending this jerk.

Yeah, it sucks when someone takes one’s words in the worst possible light.
Almost as bad as when someone actually makes shit up to connect someone to an actual mass murder. Almost as bad, but not.
Sounds like the Dems are reaping what they’ve sown.

  • Rick Caird

Most of us misunderstand civility as it is being used. If your intentions are “honorable”, then whatever you say must be civil. The left judges everything by the intention, never by the result.

  • Ap23

    Republicans are already hung.

    • Paladin

      Indeed, indeed. Well hung.

      • Nanna Gail

My sentiments exactly Paladin. I was think of replying this to Ap23 and then saw your reply immediately below. Well said.

  • submandave

Regrehan, I think you, like many comments I read from the left, are taking the comments of the article too literally. Personally, I wouldn’t have cared if the Dem had said “we’re going to line them up against the wall,” as you and I, as reasonable people, know it is a metaphore and hyperbole. I belive most folks, R or D, likewise, don’t really care too much about such colorful language, as it is part of our vernacular and culture. What I do, however, stongly object to is the transparently hypocritical way the Dem leadership and rank-and-file have used a tragic event as a hammer to score political points based upon similarly harmless yet colorful language by Repubs (esp. Palin), and how the supposedly objective national media turns a blind eye to the obvious BS that is this whole “civility” mantra.

    • Regrehan

      I agree completely!
And, just to be clear, I am NOT LEFT-LEANING (even a fraction).
But I don’t think the answer is a kind of tit-for-tat that the title of this article seems to promote. It’s creating an unwanted feedback loop — very much like the oft-used racism charge. I remember long ago watching an interview with Morgan Freeman who — IMHO, wisely — said simply (I’m paraphrasing): “You want racism to go away?? STOP TALKING ABOUT IT!”

      • Jeanneb

Republicans would do better to listen to what he meant rather than the words he used.

Yes, all the attention is on the non-PC rhetoric. But the Dems’ game plan is even more repulsive. From Obama on down, they are going to continue mis-informing Americans about entitlement programs, lying when necessary. They have the media and bureaucracy to help them. They’ll keep saying Social Sec and Medicare are just fine….but those nasty Repbulicans want to take them away and throw old people out in the snow! The bureaucracy will release “official” reports slanted to back them up. And the media will regurgitate the phony facts with no curiosity whatsoever.

That’s their gameplan. Just wait for the GOP to propose entitlement reforms, then pounce. What a shame. We have a rare opportunity when the American people actually seem to be paying attention and appear ready to hear the harsh truth. It’s a time for leadership, not political opportunism.

But I’m afraid the Dems are going to succeed and then it will be at least another decade before any pol has the courage to bring it up.

      • Nanna Gail

Regreha: Soooo, I assume YOU are NOT actually PARTICIPATING in this, as YOU put it, “UNWANTED FEEDBACK”. OH, I guess some little ghostie is typing your messages. If I were you, I would take your own advice. If you want this Unwanted Feedback to go away, “Stop TALKING ABOUT IT YOURSELF”. Or, please feel free to use one of the many liberties we still DO have, but may not for much longer. JUST GO AWAY.

        • Americafirst

The radical left would love it if the Conservatives had NO response to their lies and violent threats.. The Conservatives have been/are too silent too long about what these progressives do and say! Most Conservative Americans want the truth, and they want criticism of these radical crazies!

      • Anonymous

Thats one thing the liberal’s refuse to do, “stop talking about it”they accuse the Repubs. of being racist, when the liberal’s are the one’s who continually throw it in our faces.

    • soylantgreen2

Well said Subman… this hypocrisy will not change because we all know that BO is not in any way responsible for what OTHER Dumbos say, he allows them to speak for him this way so he can deny any connection to them…all the while they continue to speak like this and make more outrageous statements.

    • Old Soldier

Nothing new here. The left has been using tragic events to further their agenda for many years. One has only to look at the Kennedy assassination, Oklahoma City, and 911 to name just a few. Bush has been out of office for two years and the current administration is still blaming him for everything that is going wrong. The left has a “Do as we say and not as we do” policy

  • submandave

I largely agree with your sentiment. I am curious if you so elequently defended Palin when she was maligned for use of less violent idoms and actually blamed for death and mayhem?

Again, I think the point of this article is less about the words said and more about the blatant hyprocracy of the Dem calls for “civility.”

    • Regrehan

If this comment is directed to me — the answer is ‘yes’. I got into a minor row on Facebook with some friends (and others) about the Palin debacle/nuttiness. Lost a couple of Facebook friends in the process. Oh, well……

      • Anonymous

I also lost some friends over obama, but I got over it very fast…like one minute later, I have heard many liberal’s say they were sorry they voted for him and some of these were black people! A lot of liberal’s are actually getting smarter!!

  • Ashton

Wow. Quite a stretch from the headline to the quote. And by stretch I mean you should shoot yourselves. In the face. With rubber bands. I won’t help but I’ll watch. You can quote me if you like. In context, out of context…whichever you prefer. Wouldn’t want to disrupt the routine.

    • Guest

Yep. And it’s just a pale imitation of the blood libel aimed at Palin and the TeaParty over an actual mass murder.
This Dems is reaping what the Dems and MSM have sown. You got a problem with that?

No WAY he said that…Democrats are a “religion of peace”…no wait…that is Islam..hard to tell them apart with their fiery violent rhetoric.

  • Robert Taylor

The Hypocrisy on the left knows no bounds.

  • Vic

Apparently this Politician didn’t hear what President Obama said at the Tucson Memorial. We need to be civil to each other. We need to listen to both sides of the issue. The Democrats want the Republicans in Congress/Senate, and all Americans to go along with everything they have done to our country, if you don’t then they insult you. The Americans and Republicans are the same people that vote, and we can vote these Democrats out of office.

  • mario

Then we see no problem with targetting the libs.

  • Tammy

so..let me get this straight..if one of the republicans hang them selves (literally) then we have to blame this Ed guy? Cause after all..thats what they are doing to Palin…. we all want things to be fair now.

  • R0nin

Calls for “Civility”, like calls for “Bi-Partisanship”, are just words that the Left mouths whenever they want to silent their opposition. They don’t have any intention of abiding by their own demands. It’s time we start ignoring these red herrings, and stick to our guns (is it still legal for me to say that?) rather than being distracted or wondering if we somehow need to be more accommodating.

  • Asd

This article is bad, and you should feel bad.

  • NHer In Exile

Are you serious? “They’re going to hang themselves” isn’t exactly a threat to execute Republicans. Way to find a non-issue and snowball it into a national story, jerkoff.

“And we’re going to help them.”

Get used to it “jerkoff”, when Sarah Palin showed a map with crosshairs on DemoCrap districts, your side of the aisle tied it to the Arizona Congresswoman’s shooting. It’s the way things are done today “jerkoff” !!!

  • Sparky

Oh, the poutrage!!! It would have been nice to hear/read his actual words. Possibly in context. Unfortunately, the article is pretty scarce on actual facts, but long on opinions.

What I gathered from the article is that some Democrat (or, as some brilliant wits here would say, “Demorats”-HAR HAR HAR!) said that the Republicans would hang themselves, and that the democrats would help them. To hang themselves.

This is quite a different thing from saying “DEMOCRATS ARE GONNA HANG REPUBLICANS!!!”

Unfortunately, such nuanced differences make for boring news, and is beyond most of the readers of this blog, judging by the comments I’ve seen.

    • Nanna Gail

Wake up Sparky. We all know what the Democrats are capable of and I dare say. probably most of the people making comments are quite smart, which I doubt that you are able to comprehend..

  • beautress

I don’t think you can hang good people without good cause. Politicians occasionally do get silly notions, and they spurt out a knee-slapper every once in a while. This is one of those times.

Bedford20: NO, he didn’t say it the way the headline read. However, if you haven’t learned to read between the lines by now, you should take a quick course. Once we start on the line of cutting back entitlements to the real “deadbeats” out there that don’t want to work, and we start cutting gov’t spending by reducing federal income taxes by 1/3, the Left will be nothing more than a screeching, non-effective bunch. in 2012 Obummer will be a footnote in history as a fraud and crook.

    • Gorrie

A footnote in jail would be better. That would be real social justice. Obama likes social justice, I would enjoy giveing him some.

    • quintilis

If you believe most of the media polling results ( and I don’t ) over half (52%) of America’s voters are , once again in love with Obama and the socialist / Democrats, and about 15% are uncertain. The polls are obviously being skewered by the Communist media as they always are during any election cycle. The reason they do it is simple, Make the people believe a lie, and that will prevent the people from revolting when the elections are stolen by fraudulent tactics. Look at some of the Communist who won re-election in 2010 , Do the names Harry Reid, or Murkowski come to mind. Anyone with half a brain in either or both of those states know the election results were bogus and fraudulent.

      There’s that… WORD… again!!

Ever since someone used it in the wake of the Giffords shooting, “vitriol” has become the new “ilk” – the word everyone uses. Why do they use it? Hard to say – but they use it, use it they do.

What will the next WORD be? To find out, tune in next time…

      • murry1092

hopefully it will be ohham,,,,,caue that is what they are

      • Gow

Vitriol is all they have. _ Let them have it as their death wish.

        • Anonymous

I know, and it is only the fact that this word is being beating into the ground like “ilk” was for years prior. I wish people would discover a couple of really cool books I learned about a long time ago: the Webster’s Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary; and Roget’s Thesaurus. We could be peppering the commentary sections with words seldom used since Hector was a pup – and not using them twice in a day!

Who knows? The blogosphere could become a new example for high school English classrooms (wouldn’t that be a hoot? Help them expand their vocabulary, and get them thinking at the same time…).

Here are two nifty alternatives to “vitriol”: invective, vituperation. I am sure there are more – and, of course, variants from other languages, if one wishes to sound truly cosmopolitan – but you shall have to find those out yourself. Like when I learned I could say “b077$#!t” by saying “bakhvas” (basically means the same thing, but in something east Mediterranean, I think), or resorting to Yiddishisms like bupkes to express the concept of base worthlessness.

I guess it is kind of like going to a potlatch; are you going to be nearly as satisfied if everyone brings spaghetti, or if there are dozens of different dishes?

And that is today’s English lesson. Review the sections of your text as indicated on the blackboard; there will be a test on Monday, so no parties this weekend.

          Class dismissed! :)

          • BigBear

But don’t misuse words. A traditional “Potlatch” is a Pacific Northwest Indian celebration where the host, typcially the tribal or village chief, provides all of the food and drink. (It quite often resulted in poverty for the chief.) A “potluck” is a gathering where everyone brings food or drink to share with others.

This isn’t new rhetoric from democrats. A little know fact is that during the days of segregation and the rise of the KKK 1/3rd of all lynched people were white. The only common thread that ran between both black and white lynchings was that all victims were Republicans.

  • Lagibby

Where’s the love? Have a look at this:

Even before details were clear about the Arizona shooting, Left-wingers tried to assess blame for the tragedy to Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and the Second Amendment. When it became clear that the gunman was a deranged lunatic whose political philosophy was more in tune with the loony Left than the Tea Party, liberals continued to cry out against a so-called climate of hate perpetuated by Right-wingers. Perhaps those making that charge have forgotten the hatefulness and violent words coming from their own. Here are the Top 10 Examples of Liberal Hate.

    (1) Palin Derangement Syndrome: The Left’s obsessive hatred of Sarah Palin is well-chronicled and is often accompanied by violent rhetoric. Let these three examples suffice: (1) Keith Halloran, a New Hampshire Democratic candidate, said on a Facebook thread that he wished Palin had been aboard the Alaska plane that crashed, killing five including Sen. Ted Stevens; (2) Another New Hampshire Democrat, Timothy Horrigan resigned from the state legislature after writing this gem on Facebook: “Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one . . . she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn’t commit any more gaffes”; and (3) foul-mouthed comedian Sandra Bernhard warned Palin she would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” if she tried coming to New York.

    (2) Obama packing heat: Barack Obama has repeatedly sprinkled his political campaigning with words more appropriate to a street thug than the President of the United States. During his 2008 campaign he said in June, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” and in September, “I want you to go out and talk to your neighbors. . . . I want you to argue with them, get in their faces.” He kept it up during the recent midterm election with this comment: “If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends . . . .”

    (3) Courtland Milloy’s spit wish: Washington Post columnist Courtland Milloy said that after the health care vote he wanted to spit on and assault Tea Party members: “I know how the ‘tea party’ people feel, the anger, venom and bile that many of them showed during the recent House vote on health care reform. I know because I want to spit on them, take one of their ‘Obama Plan White Slavery’ signs and knock every racist and homophobic tooth out of their Cro-Magnon heads.”

    (4) Krugman’s flip flop: New York Times columnist Paul Krugman was first out of the box connecting the Arizona shooting to Right-wing speech that created a climate of hate, intoning, “the purveyors of hate have been treated with respect, even deference, by the GOP establishment.” He must have forgotten his own words in December 2009 during the health care debate when he wrote, “A message to progressives: By all means, hang Senator Joe Lieberman in effigy.”

    (5) Bush Derangement Syndrome: Before it fades into history, the liberal hatred of President Bush should be recalled. Codepink, Michael Moore, rap stars and Hollywood comedians hurled vitriol against the President. A movie was made about his assassination. But as an example of violent rhetoric, special attention should be given to remarks made by New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi, who later apologized for describing fellow Democrat Sen. Charles Schumer as “the man who, how do I phrase this diplomatically, who will put a bullet between the President’s eyes if he could get away with it.”

    (6) Daily Kos’ hypocrisy: Markos Moulitsas, of the liberal Daily Kos, was also quick to indict the Right for the Arizona tragedy, tweeting that Sarah Palin had “accomplished her mission,” a reference to her midterm elections bulls-eye target of politicians that included Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. However, his Daily Kos website blog also included Gifford’s district on a list of congressional districts “bulls-eyed” for primary challenges. And just last week, the website included a post declaring that Giffords was “dead to him” after she voted against Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House.

    (7) Exterminate Republicans: This is what passes for a theater review in the Village Voice: Michale Feingold, while reviewing the play “King Cowboy Rufus Rules the Universe,” wrote: “Republicans don’t believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don’t give a hoot about human beings, either can’t or won’t. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm.”

    (8) Hang Drudge: Liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy suggested stringing up Internet king Matt Drudge, saying, “Drudge? Aw, Drudge, somebody ought to wrap a strong Republican entrail around his neck and hoist him up about 6 feet in the air and watch him bounce.”

    (9) Outright assaults: Sometimes the hatred on the Left exceeds talk and escalates to violent assaults. Cases in point: In August 2009, members of the Service Employees International Union beat up Kenneth Gladney for distributing “Don’t Tread On Me” flags at a Missouri town hall meeting. In June 2010, Nathan Tabor was punched in the face by a Democrat during a Tea Party protest in North Carolina. Last October, Human Events reporter Emily Miller was physically assaulted while interviewing Rep. Charlie Rangel during the “One Nation Working Together” rally at the National Mall in Washington.

    (10) Greenpeace “knows where you live”: Greenpeace advocated mass civil disobedience last April with this blog item on its website:“The proper channels have failed. It’s time for mass civil disobedience to cut off the financial oxygen from denial and skepticism. . . . If you’re one of those who have spent their lives undermining progressive climate legislation, bankrolling junk science, fueling spurious debates around false solutions, and cattle-prodding democratically elected governments into submission, then hear this: We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work.”

    • Peedd1123

      Great post. Thanks.

    • Lamar Havard

#7 is quite ironic, in that I have heard several ‘progressive’ climate lemmings suggest that the world would be a paradise…without people to spoil everything.

    • Mose

I am a 78 year old woman,I have been a Democrazzy all my married life.BUT I’M SO SICK OF ALL THE LIES AND SMEAR RHETORIC THEY HAVE BEEN SPEWING I”LL NEVER VOTE FOR ONE AGAIN.My husband feels the same way..I didn’t know anyone could stoop so low..The news media is just as bad.My own Senator has been quilty as well..The rest of my life will be devoted to getting all of them out of office. They enacted a law protecting themselves from being charge for insider trading and sexual misconduct, and taking money fromS.S. to have their health care .They seem to dip into Soc.Sec for themselves but don’t put any in or repay it..I’d like a list of all who don’t pay back taxes

  • Dmoen

    Democrats = Diabolicle

  • Wannahug

Oh it is okay for the Democrats to threaten the Republicans in that way, and yet they are still blaming the Right for something Laughner did in Tucson and they began blaming the Right before they even knew anything about Laughner – shame on those Dem’s for so much hate will eventually start to pour over board when they get that hateful as that idiot Allard seems to be. No common sense whatsoever anymore in America and Dems are leading us all to HELL in a Hand Basket pretty fast!

  • Nanna Gail

Doggsc: Yeap, as easy as 123. His “Panties” are not the only thing that are/is twisted. I think his “Brain” (if he even has one), has a mighty BIG TWIST in it. He needs to remember the “Republicans” are backed up by the “Conservatives”. Thing is, the Democrats ARE THE ONES WITH “big mouths” AND THEREFORE, they are the ones who will “Hang THEMSELVES”. However, to make it perfectly clear to “Addled Allard”, “We the People” may just end up “Hanging the Democrats” in the town square, which is what they deserve.

  • Anita Eitmann

We want you to hang the Rhinos. It will be lest costly for us to get our conservatives elected.

  • BlackBastard

And I’m gonna fuck a progressive in the ass with a red hot iron rod. Hang that mother fucker.

  • littleoldlady

Ever notice how many Dems. look like they should be playing zombies in the latest horror film?

  • Mr. W

So much for civility from the socialist leftists. Like children, they just can’t control their emotions. Now I wouldn’t hang them, but I would suggest indefinite terms in re-education camps until they grow-up and learn how to control themselves. Obama’s call for us all to play nice and get along is only meant to apply to conservatives it seems. E gads, I agree with littleoldlady. He is one ugly muther, isn’t he?

  • Anonymous

Duh; the Federal Reserve Bank Corporation is helping us hang ourselves. Ed Allard’s parochial view is astounding.

  • murry1092

this is “hate speech” but it is not directed at anyone but the ppl trying to get reelected. come on ppl, lets stop this madness,,,,,it is time for term limits on the time our gov’t. employees can dictate to us,,,we are supposed to dictate to them!!! let us get this together,,,,I would have cussed,,, but then I would have taken myself to their level,,,,,let us all push for term limits, and they follow the same rules we have to live with

  • Kenny1801

I think he lost his tooth brush YEARRRRS AGO!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!

  • ron8072

You have to understand this. It is simple. When Obama “urged Americans to pause for a moment, and to make sure that we are talking to each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds”, he was really urging his opponents. He would never try to constrain his followers. Are you nuts?

    • LadyLiberty1251

Right, don’t be a phoney like Obama!!! They would like you to believe that we are the problem. Remember they can call you anything and the news media will print it…you call them out on what they say…and you never see it in the news media. The hell with them…we can make our own way.

  • Jerry_sutton37

I do believe that any true democrate is a servent of the devil. Just look at what they stand for….crimes against God. The shedding of pure blood will not be done…abortion is number
one….then there is deception…homesexual is OK…and trying to blame any GOP
they can for anything. Like social security…check youer history…it had been the
demos who has destoryed it…not the mean old GOP as thy would want you to believe.

  • photonsoflight

Wow, talk about violent rhetoric. Perhaps the democrats want to take off the gloves? Remember it is the conservatives that believe in a strong second amendment right, hehehe. How does that old saying go, speak softly and carry a big gun. Or perhaps the democrats want to go back to the days of lynching? They were the ones that created the KKK after all.

    • Smoki

Not only that and the fact that it was the democrats of the southern states who were adamantly opposed to abolishing slavery, it was the democrat party who had a former active member of the KKK serving in the Senate for 51 years and who died only recently at the age of 92, Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia.

      • Anonymous

And lest we forget, the Rev.Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a… REPUBLICAN.

  • Comsense08

I think everyone is missing what’s really happening here. The problem, folks, is US! We allow this, we partake in it, we precipitate it! We are just like gossips. A little secret is let out, and we just can’t wait to spread it. Why is this even tolerated? Why haven’t WE shut this stuff down, right at the source? Is it because like stupid reality shows like Survivor, we ENJOY all the hatred cutthroat and “in you face” attitudes? What does that say about us as a society? Is this what America is like without God? This is fast becoming a sad chapter in the history of America!

    • LadyLiberty1251

We are not missing anything. We are human beings. They pushed us and we react like a normal human being. Not like turning the cheek kind of thing. I think this is good for our souls. We are venting and communicating to each other. I for one am not going to stop talking or speaking about my feelings. Soon enough that right can be taken away from us. If you feel so strong about this site…I think it is you that needs to change…not us.

  • Georges7654

Pinhead don’t begin to cover this guy!

  • Anonymous

In 2008 Obama walked around saying positive meaningless things like”hope” and “change” all the while his minions were calling anyone who dared not to love their messiah “ignorant” and “racist.” He told them to “get in their faces.” So they did. When American citizens protested against Obamacare and formed the Tea Party his minions called them “tea baggers” and then had to explain to the rest of us who don’t put testicals in their mouth wtf that meant. But turns out it wasn’t nice. This call for civility is nonsense. Its exactly like Palin said, they want you to sit down and shut up. We should not. This language is not nice but it won’t hurt us. And we shouldn’t stop being vocal and saying whatever we want. We have a right to free speech until they take it from us. Use it if you got it. And Obama was just trying to look like he has nothing to do with the argument when he spoke in the WTF SOTU. But he is the one who taught this in class, he is the one who used this in community organizing. Don’t get duped America. The left is never going to stop trying to bully you. You have to stand up and fight.

  • Rteapee

This ignorant individual should be removed from politics immediately and brought up on hate charges and, an attempt to strike terror (terrorism) in the minds of any of those that may have a different opinion then his, Republicans.

  • Bill Nelson

This is the age of new civility. Free speech for me but not for thee

  • TimothyHorrigan

Thank you for including a link to the actual story Pat— I am surprised you included the link because in context Mr Allard’s remark very obviously does not mean what you are construing it to mean.

  • Jimlove1

Democrats only wish they were hung like Republicans

  • marineone

You wish, Ahole. Keep acting like a commie and you might be the one on the wrong end of a lynching.

  • Quintis

America has not seen anything yet. The current dialogue and recitations from the Communist are just a precursor of what is being planned for America. Wait until the Anti American, pro Obama hordes start acting out what they have been training these past decades. The real hate speeches and acts of violence are going to make the 60’s and early 70’s look like a high school prom.

Obama’s private army of militants are merely waiting in the wings for the signal to be given by their commander in chief. They have been well trained in urban warfare and terrorist tactics and they have enormous financial resources; of which a lot is taxpayer money.

The socialist / democrats in America have the same goal as their predecessors had in the 1920’s Germany, and that is to gain total power and nullify the Constitution.

  • Dgraham

    Typical Democrat Hypocrisy…..Doug

  • Currierm2

I don’t feel healed by his comment, I feel wounded.

  • a christian

The next time I get to vote I will vote straight republican. It is time for all americans to be heard and to take back opur country. Every Christian in this country had better pray that Obama gets stopped or we will see one world government.

  • Wilbur_Post

I don’t know about the rest of you, but just looking at the guys’ teeth is enough to creep me out… There’s also something about the “What canary?” look on his face that gives me “The Willies” as well…
But, I can rest assured in the knowledge that Janet Napolitano’s “Infraguard” domestic spy network is all over this guy like a cheap suit… You don’t have a look on your mug like that unless… You’ve been up to no good and/or have something to hide… Do ya Mr. Allard?

  • Chrissews

I used to live in the beautiful state of NH, back in the good old days
before the lib Mass Hole invasion. Think it’s time to send them back?
Dems get a huge pass because of their control of the network
media. Fortunately (for now) enough people have started to catch on
and are going to the Internet or cable news for the real story.

Now when Obama gets his kill switch for the net, we better all have
    shortwave or cb’s.

  • Michael Lyster

No, no: you don’t understand. When a liberal Democrat says it,it’s free speech and ‘dialogue’.
When a conservative or Republican says it, it’s extremist hate speech.
    There. See? Easy.
Just remember: liberals, Goooood. Conservatives: Baaaaaad. Now, that should clear things up.
Oh, and almost forgot: Tea Party? Spawn of the devil, probably inspired by people who eat babies. See? Isn’t the New Civility great??

  • Gow

I don’t think we have to look any further then the dems and their policies for the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Gifford.

  • Casperw

He should put as much energy into helping the country and its citizens as he does hating Republicans. How do these people get elected with so much hate?

  • Nellie

As long as Obama and the Democrats will keep bring in immigrants and suing AZ and not closing the borders> I live in an area where it is the main area where we have illegals all the time. The Democrats are not doing anything too help this situation of illegals taking American jobs., We are becoming a Welfare state. Sit home and collect a gov check., NO JOBS, WHY LOOK FOR WORK. CHINA IS BECOMING A VERY RICH COUNTRY “BECAUSE OF OUR GOVERNMENT FORCING THE MFG OVER TOO FOREIGN COUNTRIES.

Are any of us surpised…I’m not as is typical of any group which is trying to create itself into BIG BROTHER—Newspeak—-the lie is truth—the truth is a lie—therefore to lie is to speak the truth..

  • justme

why is it that democraps are allowed HATE speech but rebuplicans or conservatives are not???

  • silverhand3

Definite Liberal attempt to control conservatism response, to the horrible way the present legislature is running our government. Pay attention to what they do, and not to what they say.

  • Mike

the crosshairs are on the demoncrats

  • mrsgunnut10

Another loud mouth Democrat has spoken, and , yes, I believe with pure hate for his opponents. One thing Rep. Ed Allard, D-NH needs to realize is, that rope he intends to use, swings both ways. Thank you for your time. TSgt., USAF Retired.

  • Dvidthomas

Republicans should remember that Democrats have an I Q slightly lower than the room temperature of an Igloo and dingleberries the size of golf balls. Ignore the idiots!

  • Mitch Dworkin

“They’re going to hang themselves” “And we’re going to help them” were VERY stupid things for Ed Allard to say in my opinion. All Allard did was add fuel to the partisan fire and give the Republicans legitimate ammunition that they can use. I would highly recommend that Belknap Democratic Chair Ed Allard either apologizes for what he said very quickly or that he should be fired if he refuses to apologize. I think there is no place for that kind of nasty rhetoric in our national political dialogue from anyone in either party!
