After almost three years of insisting that ObamaCare will lower healthcare costs, former First Congressional District Rep. Carol Shea-Porter finally admitted that healthcare will get costlier under the infamous law she voted for, just before voters removed her from office. According to NewHampshire.com:
Shea-Porter said the Obama health care plan will slow the increase in health care costs, but no one should expect them to drop. “Everyone knows that costs go up. For him (Guinta) to say health care costs should drop when nothing else ever drops, it’s just not accurate,” Shea-Porter said.
Shea-Porter’s comments came during a contentious debate with current First District Rep. Frank Guinta, a Republican.
But Shea-Porter may want to tell her staff about her change in position on ObamaCare. Her website still makes the claim that ObamaCare will lower costs. The following is from the “Legislative Highlights” section of her campaign site:
Carol voted for the Affordable Health Care for America Act. The bill will lower costs and improve benefits for middle class families, increase quality, and expand access to the 140,000 Granite Staters who are currently uninsured.
