Sen. Jeanne Shaheen on Tuesday was sworn in by Vice President Joe Biden to her second term in office. She will continue to serve on the Senate Committees on Armed Services, Foreign Relations, Appropriations, and Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Shaheen’s family was in attendance as she took the oath of office.
In a statement, the former governor said:
“Serving the people of New Hampshire has been a tremendous honor and throughout my career I’ve worked across the aisle to make a difference for our state. It’s with that same commitment to bipartisanship that I’ll continue to serve over the next six years in order to move our state forward, particularly with a focus on expanding economic opportunities for middle class families.”
