Former Cheshire County Republican Chair Juliana Bergeron has a small lead over state Rep. Pam Tucker in the race to win the vacant Republican National Committeewoman post, according to a new survey of voting State Republican Committee members conducted by NH Journal.
Bergeron leads with 52% of the vote among respondents. Tucker earns 48%. The results reveal that the race is too close to call and could go either way. The election will be held at the state party’s annual meeting on Saturday, April 14th in Meredith.
In addition, the Republican State Committee enjoys considerable confidence among its voting members. Seventy-nine percent of respondents said they approve of the job the state party is doing heading into the most important presidential campaign in decades.
NH Journal conducted an automated phone survey on the evening of Monday, April 9th. Fifteen percent of voting Republican State Committee members were surveyed in total.
