Pesticides targeted in ‘Maggie’s Tax of the Day’ #37
Today’s press release from Ovide Lamontagne’s gubernatorial campaign, part of the ongoing effort to bring to light every tax increase Maggie Hassan backed during her time in the state Senate, documents her vote to raise registration fees for pesticides.
“Already, pesticide dealers are required to obtain annual licenses to sell their products in addition to paying a fee for required testing. Now, as a result of Sen. Hassan’s propensity to raises taxes and fees, they pay more to register the products they use and sell,” read this morning’s statement from Lamontagne spox Tom Cronin.
The vote in question was for HB 232, cast in April of 2010, months before Hassan’s defeat in her re-election bid.
