NH Sherrif’s Association to hold inagural golf tourney
NH Journal can exclusively report that the New Hampshire Sheriff’s Association will shortly announce their first annual golf tournament, to be held at Pheasant Ridge Country Club in Gilford on August 26th. The event is sure to draw interest from 2012 candidates, as support from the law enforcement community has historically been influential in the Granite State.
The cost to play in the tournament is $100 per golfer, and proceeds from the event will be used in part to fund several scholarships offered by the group. “We are pleased to announce that the Sheriff’s Association, with the participation of all 10 of New Hampshire’s Sheriffs, will be sponsoring its inaugural golf tournament,” said Association President Craig Wiggin.
The Friday morning tournament will also include a meet and greet lunch afterward. Spots for players and sponsors will be open as soon as the official announcement is made in the next day or two.
