Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush Thursday confirmed an appearance at the NHGOP’s “First-in-the-Nation Republican Leadership Summit” on Friday, April 17.
Bush becomes the 13th potential GOP presidential candidate to attend the major political event.
Also confirming are Joe Scarborough of MSNBC, and Fred Barnes and Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard.
The Bush confirmation leaves Govs. Chris Christie and Scott Walker, as well as Ben Carson, as the only major candidates who have not confirmed.
NHGOP chair Jennifer Horn said: “We are excited that Governor Bush has agreed to address our First in the Nation Republican Leadership Summit and discuss his ideas to increase economic opportunity for all Americans. It’s clear that Governor Bush understands the importance of our primary and we are pleased that he has already scheduled another trip to the Granite State.”
Bush’s Right to Rise PAC made a $10,0000 donation to the NHGOP about a month ago.
He will be in New Hampshire Friday for the first time in 15 years, for an appearance at a meet and greet in Dover and a business roundtable in Hudson. He will also attend a private fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta.
