CONCORD – Republican candidate for governor Walt Havenstein’s second television ad of the campaign, focusing on what he calls the “snail’s pace” growth of the state’s economy under Gov. Maggie Hassan, began airing today.
The ad begins with Havenstein, dressed casually with his sleeves partially rolled up, saying, “I know something about getting things moving,” referring to the aircraft he flew as a Marine and an F-22 “we helped build” at BAE Systems, where Havenstein was CEO.
He then mentions his “plan to create 25,000 new, good-paying jobs,” which has been the cornerstone of his campaign.
