CONCORD – Republican 2nd District U.S. House candidate Gary Lambert’s campaign raised $103,000 in the second quarter that ended on June 30 and entered the third quarter with $305,000 on hand.
Although he was narrowly out-raised in the quarter by his chief GOP primary competitor, Marilinda Garcia, he entered July with significantly more money to spend.
She reported on Tuesday having raised $135,162 in the second quarter and had $124,514 on hand.
Lambert has raised about $424,000 since becoming a candidate on July 1, 2013, while Garcia has raised a total of $246,000 since entering the race in late November 2013.
Incumbent Democratic Rep. Ann Kuster is far ahead of Garcia and Lambert in fundraising. She announced last week having raised $568,000 in the second quarter and had $1.7 million on hand. Her total amount raised since Jan. 1, 2013 is now about $2.3 million.
