Kimberly Morin: Bill ‘War on Women’ Clinton to stump for Hassan and Shaheen? Seriously?

(The opinions expressed on this page are not those of the New Hampshire Journal. The Journal welcomes opinions on all sides of issues and from all candidates for office.)

I had a completely different op-ed written for this week until I found out that Bill Clinton was going to be at a fundraiser for Governor Hassan and Senator Shaheen. The biggest and most well-known misogynist in the history of United States politics is coming to New Hampshire on October 16th to raise money for two women who are constantly claiming Republicans are waging a “war on women.”

I was literally dumbfounded. Bill Clinton was not only accused of raping Juanita Broaddrick (and settled a civil lawsuit out of court over it) but he was accused of sexually assaulting Kathleen Wiley while in the White House. Of course, that’s on top of him admitting an affair with Gennifer Flowers as Governor of Arkansas and then using his power as “the most powerful man in the world” to “charm” a young woman into sexual encounters while he was President of the country (he was impeached for lying about it if you recall).

I admit, my first vote ever for President was for Bill Clinton. I only made that mistake once. When I learned the truth about him (and I didn’t even learn the whole truth) in his re-election campaign way back when, I didn’t make that mistake twice. I find it absolutely reprehensible that any woman, any man or any PERSON holds Clinton in any kind of “esteem” after how he continually treated women over his political career.

The sad part is the women mentioned are only those we all know about. And make no mistake Hillary Clinton is just as much to blame. She enabled her husband to continue to victimize women by remaining silent on the issue and actually victimized these women herself. How anyone could support either of these people is despicable.

While Governor Hassan and Senator Shaheen feign to care about women’s issues, their support for Bill Clinton shows the opposite. Their support for him says everything you need to know about them. Neither women care about women’s issues. They only care about getting re-elected. Do you think either woman ever contacted Juanita Broaddrick or Kathleen Wiley?

I find it absolutely disgusting that Democrats revere Bill Clinton (and his wife) as anything other than the anti-women couple they actually are. They not only support these people but they invite them to the Granite State. What is wrong with Democrat women that they don’t see the same despicable, misogynist that the rest of us see? Do they really care that little for themselves?

When Bill Clinton came up for re-election, I was a ‘low-information’ voter. Even then I knew the type of man he was and I knew very little about his actual history. Democrats today know full well what Bill Clinton is all about yet they still invite him to stump for women in New Hampshire? Seriously?
