Jennifer Horn Endorses Kevin Smith for Governor
Republican gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith, announced on Wednesday that Jennifer Horn was endorsing his candidacy. Horn, the 2008 Republican nominee for the 2nd District Congressional seat, said of her decision to endorse that “Kevin Smith is the bold new voice that New Hampshire needs. More than any other candidate, Kevin is offering new and specific ideas for creating good-paying jobs and for making New Hampshire a more attractive place in which to do business.”
She added that “He (Smith) has shown an incredible ability to organize and mobilize support around public policy initiatives, and his experience and background make him the most qualified candidate to be our state’s executive. Kevin has great insight into what government can and cannot do, and more importantly, what government should and should not do.”
Of Horn’s support, Smith said, “Jennifer has been a tireless advocate, both as a candidate and activist, on behalf of the conservative movement for common sense government reforms. She is a respected leader not only in political circles, but also in her hometown community of Nashua. I welcome her endorsement and guidance as we continue to build a groundswell of support from activist and community leaders from all areas of the state.”
Smith continued, “I’m running a vigorous grassroots and solutions-based campaign. Jennifer Horn and I both share an optimistic vision for New Hampshire. She has always brought great energy and strong ideas to the Republican Party and to state politics. I’m looking forward to working with her as my campaign continues to meet and talk to voters, and to promote a plan to strengthen our economic and fiscal condition, create real and sustainable job growth, and to make New Hampshire a leader in the 21st Century.”
This endorsement came immediately after Smith’s campaign debuted a four-part plan to tackle job growth and create greater economic opportunities for businesses in the state.
