CONCORD — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush endorsed Republican U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown on Monday and headlined a fundraiser for Brown in Boston.
Bush, who is mulling the possibility of running for President in 2016, tweeted about the event earlier this afternoon. Brown has also been endorsed by another Floridian thinking seriously of running for President, Sen. Marco Rubio.
Bush spokesman Kristy Campbell confirmed to the New Hampshire Journal that Bush was the featured speaker at the fundraiser and has endorsed Brown.
“Governor Bush believes Senator Brown is a great candidate who has the momentum in this race,” Campbell said. “New Hampshire is a tremendous pick-up opportunity as Republicans work to take back the U.S. Senate in November.”
Campbell said Bush does not have any upcoming trips to New Hampshire planned in the near future.
