“Jack is Back!” Tea Party Rally Draws 125 in Dover
A “Jack is Back” tea party rally organized by the Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC drew 125 people to Dover’s Guppey Park on Saturday afternoon.
Many speakers addressed the audience, which spread out and relaxed in lawn chairs amid bunting and Gadsden flags on a beautiful Spring day. Among them were State Rep. Dan Itse of Epping, activist Irena Goddard of Hopkinton, and Gold Star mother Natalie Healy of Exeter.
The Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC was founded by Dover’s Jack Kimball in the wake of his gubernatorial campaign in 2010. When Kimball became state Republican chairman a few months later, Rochester activist Jerry DeLemus took over the PAC. DeLemus, who organizes the Rochester 9-12 group, recently turned the PAC back over to Kimball. The event was advertised using the expression, “Jack is Back!”
The financial strength of the PAC is unknown. If the PAC has ever filed a finance report with the Secretary of State’s office since its founding in September, 2010, no report is posted on the Secretary of State’s website. The PAC is listed as having made a $200 contribution to Honey Puterbaugh’s Strafford County special election state rep campaign in April, 2011.
