Hemingway PAC spent nearly half of cash on single staffer
NHGOP chair candidate Andrew Hemingway recently filed late reports for his 4RG PAC. Hemingway had come under fire for not filing five of the seven required reports, and his mismanagement quickly became an issue in the Chair race.
Now that his reports have been filed, NH Journal went through the 4RG filings to see how Hemingway spent what little money he was able to raise.
4RG reports having spent a total of $23,435.36, which is not a great deal of activity. Of that, $12,000 was sent to Gravis Marketing in Florida; Gravis is a robocall company. The only other sign of activity is $131.02 to Verizon, which is not a lot of phone calls.
For other expenses, 4RG paid David Hurst a whopping $10,532, a considerable amount given that it is nearly half of what 4RG spent over all. 4RG also spent $652.99 on meals and $468.68 on office furniture.
Hurst is a longtime friend of Hemingway and is currently a key organizer of his campaign for the NHGOP Chairmanship. It has been rumored that should Hemingway prevail in the chair race, Hurst would be his choice for executive director.
