GOPAC Election Fund promotes Garcia as strong conservative in new TV ad

CONCORD – The GOPAC Election Fund on Monday will begin airing a new television ad promoting state Rep. Marilinda Garcia as a strong conservative in the New Hampshire tradition of “freedom and independence.”

The Washington-based political committee of the leadership training organization endorsed Garcia for the 2nd District U.S. House seat earlier this year and has included her in its “Called Up” program, in which it provides resources and help to what it views as emerging conservative leaders.

The New Hampshire Journal received an exclusive preview of the eye-catching, upbeat ad:

“As a state representative, Marilinda Garcia has a strong record of championing conservative ideas and sound economic principles,” said GOPAC Chairman Frank Donatelli. “Because Marilinda has participated in our programs, we know she has the knowledge, experience, and integrity to succeed in Washington, and we are pleased to provide her the support necessary to get there.”

According to the GOPAC election fund, the Called-Up program “promotes the deep bench of talented state-level elected officials that GOPAC has cultivated and who are ready to lead in Washington. Called-Up is the culmination of GOPAC’s efforts focused on ensuring the Republican Party has a healthy roster of prepared and tested leaders ready to run for higher office.”

The 30-second television ad will air Monday, Aug. 18 through Wednesday, Aug. 27 on targeted cable television stations in the district and digital media, GOPAC said.

The total buy is $50,000.

In addition to GOPAC, Garcia has been endorsed by the Club for Growth and Freedom Works PAC.

Garcia, a four-term state representative from Salem, is facing former state Sen. Gary Lambert of Nashua and former state Rep. Jim Lawrence of Hudson in a primary on Sept. 9. The winner will face Democratic U.S. Rep. Ann Kuster in the general election campaign.
