Republican 2nd District U.S. House challenger Marilinda Garcia is renewing her invitation to Democratic incumbent Rep. Ann Kuster to participate in a joint town hall with her leading up to the Nov. 4 election.
Garcia’s campaign says Kuster is welcome to join Garcia in any of five town halls throughout the sprawling district that she will host beginning next week.
She has set up town halls for Oct. 9 in Littleton on health care; for Oct. 16 in Hanover on national security with former Ambassador John Bolton; for Oct. 21 on taxes and regulations in Keene; for Oct. 29 on government spending and the national debt in Concord; and for Nov. 3 in Nashua on jobs and the economy.
Campaign spokesman Kenny Cunningham said the meetings “will offer voters an honest opportunity to interact one-on-one with Marilinda and discuss with her the important issues facing our state and our nation.”
Cunningham said the Garcia campaign has “provided directions to each meeting for Ann Kuster, and we are more than willing to facilitate her travel arrangements so that she is finally able to participate in a town hall meeting. Ann Kuster has never held a townhall meeting and her constituents deserve the opportunity to share their concerns and views with their representative to Congress.”
