On the eve of Sarah Palin’s speech before the Tea Party Express in New Hampshire, the former Alaska Governor shocked diners and delighted wedding guests by making an unannounced visit to The Puritan Backroom restaurant for some of their famous chicken fingers.
While some in the Republican establishment have criticized Palin for not making her political intentions known, the patrons at The Puritan Backroom were excited to shake her hand and talk politics on a late Sunday afternoon.
As word of her appearance spread throughout the restaurant, a U.S. Marine and his new bride enjoying their wedding reception in the Pappas Room asked to get some pictures. The newlyweds now had another reason to grin from ear to ear as they were overheard saying “we’ll never forget that Sarah Palin came to our wedding”.
Palin illustrated her political charm and retail campaigning by eagerly greeting Manchester locals and talking about issues ranging from the national debt to the cost of gasoline.
As Palin left the restaurant, a resident of nearby Hooksett said, “she comes across as real and just a regular lady. I hope she runs for President.”
We’ll find out soon enough as Palin has said she will make a decision in the very near future.
