Credit counseling companies targeted in ‘Maggie’s Tax of the Day’ #36
At least ‘credit’ Maggie Hassan with consistently supporting across the board tax and fee increases. Today’s entry in Ovide Lamontagne’s chronicle of Hassan’s record as a New Hampshire state Senator centers around fees that hiked the cost of operating a small business in New Hampshire.
“Throughout her time in as a leader in the State Senate, Sen. Hassan used licensing fee hikes to help fund her 24% increase in state spending. Such was the case in 2009 when she voted to increase by 400% both the original licensing fee and license renewal fee for credit counseling companies in New Hampshire,” reads this morning’s press release.
With twenty-one days remaining until the election, there are still sixty-three tax or fee hikes left to go.
