Former Sen. Scott Brown says he has meetings planned so far with four potential presidential candidates as the first-in-the-nation primary campaign begins to ramp up.
In December, Brown told the Journal he intends to meet and give advice on New Hampshire campaigning to any presidential candidate who asks. He told the Journal in January that he would be a “facilitator” to acquaint presidential candidates with New Hampshire and key Granite State Republicans.
Today, Brown told the Journal that he plans to meet with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio when he visits the state next Monday and Tuesday, and with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker when he visits the state on March 14. He also said he plans to meet with South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham when he comes to the state in the next several weeks – no date has been set for that visit.
NH1 TV’s Paul Steinhauser reported today that Brown will meet with former Ambassador John Bolton when he returns to the state on Friday to address a “Politics and Eggs” breakfast at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.
