BREAKING: Ayotte picks Chief of Staff

NH JOURNAL EXCLUSIVE – New Hampshire Senator-Elect Kelly Ayotte has selected her Chief of Staff, an inside source exclusively tells NH Journal. For her top staff spot, Ayotte has tapped Oregonian John Easton, former COS to Sen. Gordon Smith (R-OR). Easton managed Smith’s successful 2002 reelection campaign, and served for seven years as Smith’s Chief. Prior to his work for Smith, Easton served as Political Director for the American Medical Association and occupied a senior staff position for Iowa Congressman Greg Ganske. He is currently with DC-based bipartisan public affairs firm VH Strategies.

Too bad she didn’t pick a NH person like Judd Gregg did with Joel Maiola. How does an Oregonian who has never been to NH know anything about the Granite State?
Charlie Bass did the same thing …picking an out-of-stater to be his chief
What ever happened to the theory that Granite Staters know hteir state better than DC hacks?

What ever happened to the theory that NH folks know the Granite State better than an Oregonian who has never stepped foot here?
Judd Gregg knew that when he named Joel Maiola his top aide.
Charlie Bass did the same thing when he named his top DC aide who didn’t know NH as well.
Guess we NH hicks don’t know anything about running a congressional office.
Stick with the DC hacks Kelly & Charlie & you won’t get elected again.

This appointment is Qui-pro-quo. Kelly helps Bob Moore, Mitt Romney, and Gordon Smith cover up the 2007 so called anti-Mormon push poll. They help her become senator and she appoints their people.
