Bergeron Announces Candidacy for NH Republican National Committeewoman
Former Cheshire County GOP Chair Will Run For National Committeewoman
KEENE – Former Cheshire County GOP Chair Juliana Bergeron announced today that she will run for New Hampshire Republican National Committeewoman at the Party’s Annual Meeting on April 14th.
“I am running for Republican National Committeewoman to be a strong and vocal advocate for our First in the Nation primary tradition. Keeping the Granite State first requires constant vigilance and a constant reminder to the National players why it is so important to have a small, grassroots oriented state be the testing ground for our presidential candidates. I will tirelessly work to not only keep us first, but to hold our primary later in the calendar and not so close to the holidays.” said Bergeron.
The National Committeewoman serves as a liaison between New Hampshire Republicans and the Republican National Committee, but Bergeron said she would also like to expand those duties by helping convey the GOP’s campaign message, “I will be an outspoken and ardent defender of the Republican platform and our candidates, and I will work every day to take the fight to President Obama and his big spending, big government allies.”
“It not only takes the time and talent of our candidates and activists to defeat Obama and the democrats. It will also take money to elect a Republican president and return New Hampshire’s corner office to Republican hands. I will commit my time and energy to raising the funds necessary to accomplish this mission.”
Juliana is a fiscally responsible, small-government conservative who has been a conservative grassroots activist in New Hampshire for over 40 years.
From 2007 until January 2011, Juliana served as chair of the Cheshire County Republican Committee where she raised over $40,000 for republican efforts. She currently is a member of the Executive Committee of the New Hampshire Republican Party. In 2008, Juliana was the recipient of the NHGOP’s Norris Cotton award for outstanding Republican activism. In 2011 she ran for NH GOP Chair, narrowly losing to Jack Kimball.
As a financial advisor, Juliana manages her own insurance and investment business in Keene. She has millions of dollars in investments under management through her primary affiliation with the nationally recognized Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.
With over 30 years of private sector experience, Juliana also has strong ties to New Hampshire’s business community. She is a past president of the Keene Rotary Club, a former director of the New Hampshire Society of Financial Service Professionals and a longtime member of the Keene Chamber of Commerce. She is also a current board member and past chair of the Monadnock Economic Development Corporation.
Juliana, a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, lives in Keene with her husband Arto. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1975.
