Left-leaning group Americans United for Change and liberal news website the Daily Kos have teamed up to launch a series of radio ads attacking several Republican Members of Congress for voting in favor of repealing health care reform while participating in the federal employees’ health care plan available to Congress. New Hampshire’s Second District, where Bass narrowly won his race over Anne Kuster, has already made the DCCC’s list of top 2012 pickup opportunities, and Bass numbered among 19 members targeted in the Committee’s inaugural ad buy. Conservative 501(c)4 group Crossroads GPS, controlled in part by Republican operative Karl Rove, hit back with a radio ad of its own in Bass’s district. It’s likely that these will not be the last ads by outside groups in the Second District, as this race seems bound to be part of the national battleground in 2012.
