Americans for Prosperity name Ovide “Conservative of the Year”
Prominent fiscally conservative action group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) named New Hampshire conservative activist Ovide Lamontagne as its first “Conservative of the Year” and will be hosting a reception to honor Lamontagne in April. WINDHAM – The New Hampshire chapter of Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFP Foundation) will host a dinner honoring Ovide Lamontagne as “Conservative of the Year” on April 29, 2011 at The Yard in Manchester. Cocktail reception will begin at 6:00 PM with the dinner commencing at 7:00 PM.
“I am honored that Ovide has agreed to accept American for Prosperity Foundation’s first ever Conservative of the Year Award,” stated Corey R. Lewandowski, state director of AFP Foundation – New Hampshire. “Ovide is a proven conservative that has spent a lifetime advocating for smaller government, lower taxes and a more prosperous business environment both in New Hampshire and at the national level,” Lewandowski continued.

Immediately following the dinner honoring Ovide Lamotange as “Conservative of the Year,” AFP Foundation will host a Presidential summit on “Spending and Job Creation.” Confirmed attendees include former US Senator Rick Santorum and businessman Herman Cain. Invited guests include former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA), former Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN), Governor Haley Barbour (R-MS), former Governor Sarah Palin (R-AK), U.S. Senator John Thune (R-ND), and U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC).
“The summit will provide the people of New Hampshire an opportunity to hear firsthand from prospective Presidential candidates. The issues covered will include government spending and job creation,” Lewandowski continued. “We look forward to a lively debate on the issues. Once again, the people of New Hampshire will play a critical role in determining the priorities of the next presidential campaign,” Lewandowski concluded.
